Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using LastSeen.gg, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. What LastSeen.gg Does

LastSeen.gg is a platform that helps gamers reconnect with old friends by searching gamertags across multiple gaming platforms. You can add your own gamertags, search for others, send connection requests to people you recognize, and upload images as shared memories on your profile.

3. Your Account

You sign in to LastSeen.gg using Discord OAuth. We do not store your Discord password. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your Discord account secure.
• All activity that occurs under your LastSeen.gg account.
• Providing accurate information on your profile.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If we discover that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will terminate it.

4. User Content

When you add gamertags or upload images to your profile, you retain ownership of that content. By adding gamertags, you grant LastSeen.gg a license to display them in search results and on your profile so that other users can find and reconnect with you. By uploading images, you grant LastSeen.gg a license to store, display, and moderate them.

You may only add gamertags that belong to you or that you have permission to associate with your account. Adding someone else's gamertag as your own is not allowed.

Uploaded images are automatically scanned for content safety using Google Cloud Vision API. Images that violate our content policy will be rejected or removed. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LastSeen.gg to:

• Harass, stalk, or send unwanted messages to other users.
• Impersonate another person or claim gamertags that are not yours.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to collect data from the service.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or circumvent security measures.
• Use the platform for any illegal activity or to facilitate harm to others.
• Spam connection requests or abuse the messaging system.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, including but not limited to:

• Repeated violations of the acceptable use policy.
• Adding fraudulent or misleading gamertags.
• Harassing other users.
• Using automated tools to access the service.
• Uploading prohibited or inappropriate content.

You may also delete your own account at any time from your account settings. When your account is deleted, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Paid Features

LastSeen.gg may offer paid features or subscription plans in the future. If and when paid features are introduced, pricing, billing details, and refund policies will be clearly stated at the point of purchase. We will provide reasonable notice before introducing any charges.

8. Image Upload Rules

When uploading images to LastSeen.gg, you agree to the following:

• You must have the right to share any image you upload. Do not upload images you do not own or have permission to use.
• Do not upload images containing nudity, violence, hate speech, or any illegal content.
• Do not upload images containing private or sensitive information of other people without their consent.
• All images are automatically moderated. Images flagged as inappropriate will be rejected or removed without notice.
• Uploaded images are publicly accessible via their URL when displayed on your profile.
• We reserve the right to remove any uploaded image at any time and for any reason.

9. No Warranty

LastSeen.gg is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that search results will always be accurate or complete. We make a good-faith effort to maintain the service, but cannot promise perfection.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LastSeen.gg and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50, whichever is greater.

11. Intellectual Property

The LastSeen.gg name, logo, design, and code are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission. Your gamertags and personal data remain yours.

12. Changes to the Service

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. If we make changes that significantly affect your use of the service, we will provide reasonable notice. We may also discontinue the service entirely with 30 days' notice.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable local law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
